Cons target work seekers.

31 January 2010

By Kathy M Kristof Private Finance Jan 31, 2010.

It was a part of a ruthless swindle that's becoming extensive in the fading days of the recession. In the beginning of the recession, con artists capitalized on the rising jobless rate by launching schemes that promised roles but needed customers to pay for "equipment" or "training" before they could start work, declared Alison Southwick, a spokesman for the Better Business Bureau in Washington. You paid the costs and got the kit or coaching, but the work never appeared to materialize. The victims did not find out until they got their credit card bill the site did not just check their credit, it signed them up for a credit monitoring service that charged them each month. "If you were just doing the old 'Send me money for a job' con, even if folks were persuaded that it's a brilliant idea, the trick would not work because they do not have the money to send you.".

Hence , the con of the hour is one that alleges to send you money -- tons of it. With the new "trading assistant" job, as an example, the applicant is told that the position will involve "receiving payment from consumers and making further payments to our main office or one of our regional affiliate exchangers, depending on the consumer's location.". What the scheme actually does is clear out your account by sending you counterfeit checks. But it provides con artists who understand how to work the system with time to take you for an expensive ride. At that point the bank has got the right to take the cash from your account. If you do not have enough in your account, the bank can send debt collectors after you. The undeniable fact that your check was written to "reimburse" the criminal is your problem, not the bank's. The most typical of these is that the hiring company is in the business of "mystery shopping." they are saying they're hiring the buyer to test out a store or the services of a wire transfer company. You can not even trust the secret shopper organisation's symbol that some cons nonchalantly use in their pitch. The sole common theme is the crook will have to pay more than what's due and ask you to pay back the rest. If you're under thirteen years make real money online old you can read this notice board, but you may not take part.
