Web shopping Helps Raise Money For primary school.

Folk can log on and pick from six hundred stores to buy. - Scholars at Herbert Akins Road Elementary do not need to sell tubs of popcorn, candy bars or wrapping paper to raise cash this holiday season. PTA President Tammi Davis recounted the program is a unique way to earn money for the highschool. "This year -- with the different economy -- we turned to the Net , which is a different portal to raise money," Davis declared. The stores give 3 to ten p.c of the sale to the high school.

"A college with six hundred scholars : it produces about $1,000 a month," Davis related. Aid Principal Jennifer Carfano recounted the money raised will go toward nearly anything the highschool wishes, including PCs and new books. "When you start a college from the bottom up, you actually begin with the bare minimum," Carfano announced. Davis claimed another good point about the program is that even acquaintances and family outside of the Triangle area could give to the high-school. "This particular programme goes across the U. S. -- well with the web, world wide -- so people could shop and earn cash for our school," Carfano asserted. The highschool then will receive a monthly check.
